Anderson .Paak is confirmation that REAL music exists RIGHT NOW…and he is raising the bar on the west coast R&B game in 2016.
At his San Francisco show in January, Paak had the crowd LIT from the first moment he stepped out on stage. Once the lights dimmed and the music started, the shouting and singing of fans never ended. Paak did what I wish every artist would, performing ALL the stand-outs from his new album Malibu and the previous, Venice. You know the ones…“The Waters”, “Might Be”, “Milk & Honey”, “Come Down”, “Am I Wrong?”… He even worked in some unexpected hitters like “Suede”. (From Nxworries, the collabo group featuring Anderson Paak and producer Knxwledge).
There was not ONE dull moment during his show. Paak took no breaks. He just kept banging the hits out back-to-back. His energy was level 10 through the entire set, and I can’t think of any other artist who can fw with his type of delivery right now…crazy drum skills (as seen in the above clip), dope production skills, soulful vocals, serious bars, captivating stage presence (and dance moves…*bites bottom lip*). Dude is just pure, raw, unadulterated talent with the amazing ability to make each song its own art and mood.
